International Beach Cleaning day with MOU partner institutions – Save beach from plastic trash

We B.Ed students of Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan volunteered cleaning plastic waste across the beach for two hours at versova beach. Many of these students from different institution also volunteered on a large scale in this beach clean up campaign played by a Afroz Shah. It help to take away last chunk of plastic waste form from fish species which Been found not only eating them but also retaining them in their bodies, eventually harming A section of Mumbaikar’s health for whom the fish has been a staple. We were surprised to see a large chunk of plastic bags chips packets, etc All over which is not just difficult to clean off the sand eventually becoming a forced food Chain for fish which caused damage to the entire food chain.
Afroz Shah sir and his team Citizens and students to beat plastic pollution and suggest ways for a circular economy constantly if every week since last one year. All the students of our college participated in the beach clean up campaign from 8 AM 2:10 AM we covered a large amount of area cleaning. And after the beach clean-up session later he also distributed food as a gesture of appreciation. It was a fun and learning experience for every one of us.
