The 3-day seminar on “Teaching with Museum objects” was an enriching experience and insightful session for all of us. It aided in realizing the significance of history, mathematics, science, languages, and each and every subject in the elements preserved by the museum. The practical approach of making lessons more interesting, interactive, enriching the content and teaching-learning experience.
Developing Eco – Consciousness through Museums, helped us reflect on how the museum through its architecture and infrastructural surroundings can be used to provide experiential learning and experience. The essence of visual and aesthetic sense is incorporated through informative and useful visual teaching aids with simple tools and using the same in the classroom. Infusing the curriculum with the vibrant association to articles, sculptures, paintings, etc, in the museum to deliver age-appropriate interesting content to the learners. Thus, the journey of the informative and interesting sessions helped us to realize the significant bond between museums and the teaching-learning experience, and to aim to apply various strategies and teaching aids in the classroom.
