Report on Varsha Mangal program | 07 August, 2021
We begin with great enthusiasm and excitement for the VARSHA MANGAL program. The event was organised by Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan’s Smt. Surajba College of Education on 07th August, 2021 at 10.15 am via zoom meeting. The program was organised to remember one of the ‘Multifaceted geniuses’ Rabindranath Tagore on his 80th death Anniversary and also our college follow the philosophy of him and celebrate the season as a festival like varsha mangal. The programme coordinators for the webinar were prof. Priti Chandorkar and prof. Yogita Mandole, Asst. Prof. Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan’s Surajba College of Education. The program was hosted by our FYBEd students Swapnil Fadale and Gayatri Joshi.
As it is our college tradition to start any event by remembering the Almighty, the students council members sung Sarvadharm prayer and Bhagyashri sung the song rimjhim Ghana Ghana re very beautifully. Then our principal ma’am Dr. Judy Grace Andrew lit the lamp to give homage to Rabindranath Tagore’s soul. After that our council member Aishwarya Chavan read a paper on Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy and his work. It was indeed to listen about his great work and initiatives.
Almost every student took part in this program and performed various poems, songs, skits, and presentations to make this event successful and it succeeded too. The kavya mehfil in which various languages poems were there and songs of Rabindranath sir were literally touching the hearts of the audience. The literature written by Rabindranath sir which was played in the form of skits was greatly appreciated by the audience. Two of our students also dressed up very innovatively and made the program more enthusiastic. There was one dance performance also which was really amazing to watch. The last performance was the song ekla chalo written by Rabindranath Tagore.
Our principal ma’am appreciated everyone’s efforts and corrected us wherever we needed to improve ourselves. It was really interesting to watch the performances. At last we all stood for the National Anthem and ended the program.
